As of February 2020, 158.7 million Americans had full time jobs, 5.7 M were jobless, and our unemployment rate was 3.5%. The most recent data available, (June 2021) 151.6M Americans had full time jobs, 9.5M were jobless and our unemployment rate was 5.9%. What doesn’t make sense is 3.99M Americans quit their jobs in April 2021, the largest level recorded in U.S. history (according to the Department of Labor).
